Financial Support and Assistance

Financial support to help you advance

Investing in continuing education demands both a commitment in time and a financial one. McMaster Continuing Education and its partners have initiatives in place to assist you financially so that you can concentrate on upskilling to advance your professional journey.

Funding Options

Most Continuing Education programs are not eligible for OSAP. However, there are a few options available if you require assistance in funding your studies:

  • The McMaster Association of Part-time Students (MAPS) bursary and McMaster Continuing Education award *academic-credit courses only*
  • Canadian government-funded, subsidized training options (e.g. Better Jobs Ontario, Canada-Ontario Job Grant)
  • Windmill Microlending: loans for skilled immigrants and refugees
  • Ask your employer about any tuition assistance programs that may be available
  • Financial institution student loans or lines of credit

See below for further details.
