Investing in continuing education demands both a commitment in time and a financial one. McMaster Continuing Education and its partners have initiatives in place to assist you financially so that you can concentrate on upskilling to advance your professional journey.


McMaster Bursary for Part-Time Students/McMaster Continuing Education Award

Funding assistance is available through the McMaster Association of Part-time Students and McMaster Continuing Education.

Before applying, you must register and pay for your courses on our website. Once completed, you apply for the bursary/award on your online student administration portal, You will receive notice 1-2 weeks later about your bursary/award status, and, if approved, you will receive a determined reimbursement.

McMaster G. DeGroote Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research Scholarship

For a limited time, the McMaster G. DeGroote Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research (MGD CMCR) is offering $1,000 scholarships to offset the costs of  The Science of Cannabis program delivered in partnership with McMaster Continuing Education. Upon successful completion of the three courses in the program, MGD CMCR will provide a reimbursement of $250 for each of the first two courses and $500 for the final course. If you’re enrolled in an online course but don’t have access to a computer at home, you may be eligible to use a free laptop and Internet offered by Contact North | Contact Nord, in partnership with McMaster University.

Get the laptop delivered right to your home within five days or pick up your laptop and Internet modem today at your local online learning centre. There are only three requirements:

  • You live in Ontario
  • You use it to take an online course
  • You return the laptop in good working order when you finish
