The Canadian Health System and the Role of Digital Health

Course Outlines
This course presents an overview of the Canadian health system, focusing on its foundations, healthcare governance, and related regulations and functions. Learners will examine how Canada's health system and digital health are organized, funded, regulated, and managed across the different levels of government, including how information is used and shared within each level. Learners will also explore the impact of digital health and its potential to support the Canadian healthcare system by analyzing key barriers, drivers, and enablers. Understanding the Canadian health system is essential and an integral competency for professionals in digital health. There are no course-prequisites.
