McMaster Continuing Education and Level UP Introduce Innovative Internship Opportunities for Canadian Students

McMaster Continuing Education has partnered with Level UP to offer Canadian students valuable internship opportunities that bridge academic learning with real-world skills development. These internships, made possible through Riipen, the leading online work-based learning platform, provide students with both remote and in-person options, allowing them to gain practical experience and earn compensation for their contributions.
This collaboration aims to connect students with Canadian employers eager to mentor emerging talent. Each internship project spans 60 hours over a flexible 2-8 week period, offering students the chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional environment. Upon successful completion, students receive $1,400 as compensation.
Beyond financial benefits, these paid internships enrich students’ skills, help them build professional networks, and provide valuable career guidance. It’s important to note that this opportunity is independent of their studies with McMaster Continuing Education and is not for credit. For students enrolled in programs with an existing Practical component, it should be emphasized that this internship cannot be considered towards those required hours.
With practical experience becoming increasingly important to employers, this initiative prepares students for future success by equipping them with essential workplace skills and insights.
Programs like these play a crucial role in meeting the rising demand for skilled professionals and ensuring students are well-prepared for their careers in various fields.
