Are you or is someone you know a caregiver?
Boost your caregiving knowledge with the Caregiving Essentials Webinar Series which is part of a free online course offered by McMaster Continuing Education.
The Atlas CareMap is a process that helps people understand their “ecosystem” of care – in other words, who is caring for whom and how within a network of patients, caregivers and professionals. Rajiv Mehta, founder of nonprofit Atlas of Care and creator of Atlas CareMap, will explain how care mapping works and why it’s such a powerful tool for self-awareness, support and advocacy in caregiving.
Donna Thomson and Rajiv Mehta will be joined by Stephanie Muskat, social worker and founder of Compassion in Caregiving, a mental health practice and coaching resource for caregivers worldwide. Stephanie will share how the framework surrounding the care mapping process is paramount to her work with clients to help reveal hidden opportunities for leveraging support in the family and the community. Stephanie will additionally discuss the positive impact that a care map can have on the mental health of caregivers.
Caregivers, social workers, health care professionals and family advocates will not want to miss this very special opportunity to learn about a transformational tool that has had a huge impact for many families, social services agencies, and healthcare institutions.
