COVID-19 Information and Updates

McMaster University is deeply committed to supporting our community during the rapid changes taking place worldwide due to COVID-19 (coronavirus). These frequently asked questions are specific to McMaster University Continuing Education students. We will continue to update the FAQs as needed. McMaster Continuing Education wishes each of you health and wellness as we navigate to easier and more confident times.

If you are a McMaster Continuing Education student who is learning entirely remotely and there is no expectation to attend campus for any reason, you are strongly encouraged but not required to upload proof of vaccination to the MacCheck digital tool, unless you plan on accessing the campus or a McMaster-affiliated site.  If you decide to take an in-person course in a future semester, you must upload proof of vaccination to the MacCheck digital tool before enrolling

McMaster Continuing Education’s One James Street North building is closed until further notice. If you have a question or inquiry please contact one of our Information Specialists by visiting our Contact Us page.

All current courses are offered in Online and Virtual Classroom formats and will remain in this format until the end of the calendar year. Any information beyond the current calendar year is to be determined.

All online courses will continue as scheduled.

There is no disruption to services. McMaster Continuing Education staff are doing their very best to support you while they are working remotely from home. However, the in-person services will be impacted until staff physically return to the office.

All McMaster Continuing Education courses and programs are offered online until further notice. Online courses can be completed from abroad and you would not be required to come to Canada for any part of the program.

Future offerings of in-person courses have yet to be determined. For further information regarding study permits or PGWP, please contact Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
