The goal of this course is to introduce intermediate concepts in Excel. Specifically, this course is targeted to those who would like to enhance their basic skills sets by unlocking some of the more intermediate functions in Excel.
Concepts including advanced formulas, pivot graphs, slicers and enhanced programming functions including function controls will be covered.
More advanced topics such as macros will be included based on personal interests of students.
By unlocking this power, students will be able to build the most powerful workbooks to solve their personal and business decisions.

Originally from New Brunswick, Jeffrey O’Leary has worked for over 13 years at Maple Leaf Foods in various Corporate Finance, Sales and Marketing positions throughout the organization. Currently Jeff works at Karl Storz Medical Devices leading a team of Accountants within Business Unit Accounting. Jeff holds undergraduate degrees in Accounting & Economics, an MBA and is a CMA and CPA in Ontario as well as a Chartered Marketer with the Canadian Marketing Association. Jeff has been teaching in post-secondary education for over thirteen years and is currently a lecturer at the University of Guelph, Brock University and McMaster Continuing Education.
