Virtual classes are held in a live format at the same time and day each week in the Eastern Time Zone (ET). Most sessions will consist of a full 3-hours of live instruction. Instructors will use the weekly class time to present new content, review previous content, and provide opportunities to apply content in a variety of exercises. Courses are activated in Avenue to Learn 1-3 days prior to the course start date. Once your course is active, you will see the course details, including a complete course syllabus.
Considerations for taking a Virtual Classroom course:
Note: Some virtual Accounting (ACC) courses require online proctored final exams. Refer to your course shell in Avenue to Learn for any associated proctoring fees that are not included in the course fee.

Online courses require approximately 6-8 hours of study time per week to complete your work. You are not required to log on at a specific time, but must keep up with the weekly schedule of content found at your course site. Some courses may include one-hour live synchronous online sessions to encourage student engagement with class materials. These sessions are recorded for those unable to attend.
