Course Outlines
The second year of the programs builds upon the foundational content from the first year. Specifically, students will participate in advanced modules and workshops precisely tailored toward the goals of their specialization stream. For example, students in the Biomedical Research stream will engage in modules focused on more advanced topics related to pathophysiology and microbiology, whereas students in the Patient and Family Partnership stream will engage in modules focused on patient advocacy roles and how patients can become active research collaborators. The Annual-In Person symposium serves as an opportunity for second-year students to relay what they have done and learned throughout the program(s) to the first-year students. Therefore, even though the second year is more specialized, there is still an opportunity for these advanced second-year students to participate and network with members of the larger community.
