Students who complete this course will be able to apply payroll legislation and calculate individual pay. This includes all components of individual pay from remuneration, through deductions, to net pay for both regular and non-regular situations. Students will have the content and skills to effectively communicate all aspects of the individual pay calculation process to external and internal stakeholders. Prerequisite: Payroll Compliance Legislation

This course is offered as a virtual classroom with classes held, as per the scheduled day/time. Classes will be held online, using a combination of synchronous, real-time, instructor led sessions, supplemented with asynchronous activities. You should expect to attend class at the same time, each week, although not every session will be a full 3 hours of live instruction. Rather, classes will provide learners the opportunity to apply what has been covered by your course facilitator. I am a Certified Payroll Manager and a Chartered Professional Accountant (Certified Management Accountant). My career has included various roles in both Accounting and Payroll. I have been a volunteer with the Canadian Payroll Association for a number of years on various committees and serving on the Board of Directors. I have been involved in instructing Canadian Payroll Association certification courses in the classroom, and online as well as delivering Professional Development seminars.
