Mohamed Abdalkarim is a Data and AI specialist with more than 11 years of experience helping organizations modernize their data platforms and apply artificial intelligence to real-world challenges. In his current role as a Customer Engineer at Google, he supports AI startups across Canada, advising them on how to innovate with AI across a range of industries including healthcare, finance, and retail. Prior to Google, Mohamed was a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft leading data estate modernization and AI strategy engagements for public and financial sector clients.
Mohamed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Loughborough University and is currently pursuing graduate studies in Artificial Intelligence at Stanford University.
Mohamed has been teaching with McMaster Continuing Education since 2020. His teaching focuses on bridging theory with practice, offering learners applied knowledge drawn from his industry experience. He is passionate about helping students develop the skills needed to design and implement scalable, impactful solutions in today’s data-driven world.
Pedram Habibi has a BSc in Physics, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer and Communication Networking, and a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Pedram has worked for many years in telecommunication and other IT domains. He has taught Data Analytics and Technology topics at McMaster University and Ontario Colleges. His interests are Big Data Analytics, AI, ML, Cloud computing, IoT, Cyber Security, DevOps, and Networking.
