Setting goals is one thing—achieving them is quite another. In this course, participants will be given the opportunity to identify their goals and use a practical, effective Goals with SMARTS (Specific, Motivating, Action-oriented, Risk-managed, Time-lined and Supported) system which is designed to clearly define goals and the action steps required to achieve results. Participants will learn a variety of strategies that can dramatically increase their success in accomplishing their goals. We will also examine common hurdles that tend to obstruct our results and explore ways in which we can surmount them. During this highly interactive course, participants will engage in a variety of exercises and discussions that results in a personal performance tune-up.

Laura Cole is a corporate facilitator with a special interest in leadership and soft skills development. Her experience covers a wide variety of industries including franchises, small businesses, medical and academic institutions and not-for-profits. With over 15 years experience, Laura is fluent in multiple facilitation techniques to help create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Laura is the founder of Your Latitude, a corporate training and coaching firm, and a professor with the Business Faculty at Mohawk College. Laura has an Honours Degree in Communications and a Diploma in Mediation from McMaster University, and has an MBA.
