Instructors
Laera Gattoni
Laera is currently working in health analytics in healthcare planning, and has over 10 years experience in healthcare, research and epidemiology, focused mostly in Toronto and Southern Ontario. Laera completed her Bachelor of Science with majors in Biology and Psychology at Sam Houston State University and her Master of Public Health specializing in Epidemiology at the University of Toronto.
Umair Majid
Umair Majid is a research methodologist and health systems expert. He has collaborated with over 50 organizations worldwide, designing people-centred health services through rigorous research and meaningful engagement with patients, families, and stakeholders. With more than 120 publications, Umair has deep knowledge of health systems and public health issues. His work has been read over 300,000 times and cited more than 1,600 times in the past five years. He serves as the President of The Methodologists (TMT) Corp., a company dedicated to mobilizing organizations to design people-centred health services using rigorous research and meaningful engagement. Umair holds three graduate degrees in health research methodology, program design and evaluation, and health care management.
