Mr. D’Souza has 30 years of finance, consulting and leadership experience, helping a wide range of organizations improve what they do. He started his career assisting non-governmental organizations develop and execute strategy and operational improvements. He then spent approximately 20 years performing similar roles in the private sector, principally with large companies like IBM and Sun Life. In 2018, he returned to the non-profit world and served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada. In 2021, Mr. D’Souza joined Diabetes Canada, to help the organization navigate through the challenges posed by COVID-19 and currently serves as a Senior VP overseeing Finance, Procurement, Risk, Information Technology and Human Resources.
Mr. D’Souza serves on several boards. He sits on the Boards of OMERS Sponsors Corporation, the Canada Revenue Agency, the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants and the Ontario Internal Audit Committee.
Mr. D’Souza holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.A. from the University of Guelph and an M.B.A from Yale University and is a CPA. Mr. D’Souza owns and operates his own company, where he designs and delivers courses for several post-secondary institutions. These include Nipissing University, McMaster University, the Insurance Institute of Canada and Algonquin College.
