Karen (BA, MA, CHIM) is a strong and passionate healthcare leader with a proven track record in both acute care and post-secondary education. She is committed to promoting quality health data both at the source and throughout the lifecycle to promote the best possible health outcomes for Canadians. She is ardent about data quality as it pertains to having the best information possible for continued improvement of the health of Canadians.
From humble – yet deep roots of over 20 years of experience in Patient Registration, she has a deep respect for the people that do the work, the origin of the data and the outcomes that that data impacts – both on the personal level and at the policy analysis table. She shares this passion with her role at St. Francis Memorial Hospital as well as learners at McMaster University and Mohawk College.
She has been supporting post-secondary learning since 2017 and is excited to enhance the understanding of health data to the next generation.
